Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving

Rigid Heddle weaving is fun and easy to learn, and you can use readily available yarns you might already have! If you've ever wanted to learn weaving, I'd love to teach you!

In this relaxed, two-part class you'll learn the basics of rigid heddle weaving while making a complete project from start to finish. In the first session, I’ll get you set up and weaving, and in the second, you’ll learn how to finish your piece like a pro. With only two students per class, you'll get plenty of one-on-one support from an easygoing, encouraging instructor. 

DETAILS:

• Small class sizes: Just two students per class!
  
• $75 fee includes yarn and use of studio tools.
• Use your own loom or rent one of mine for $10. (Please let me know in the comment section what loom you'll be bringing.)
• This 2-part class covers all the skills you need to weave your first project! In Class one we'll choose yarn, warp the loom, and start weaving. Class two will cover finishing techniques, and we'll learn to twist fringe!

IMPORTANT INFO:

• Classes are held in our studio at 830 Monmouth St., Newport KY 41071.
• There's plenty of street parking, and a free lot across the street.
• Please be aware, our studio is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
• We have bottles of water at the studio, but if you'd like to bring a snack or coffee, feel free!
• Cancellations allowed up to 1 week before first class. Later cancellations will not receive a refund.
